Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare

Outcomes for pupils

Early Years Provision

Overall Effectiveness

The school was last inspected in July 2013 at which point it was graded as requiring improvement and since then has faced many challenges and undergone may changes.

“The conduct of pupils is good. Their attitude to learning has improved because teachers have high expectations for behaviour and engagement in learning.”

Since the last inspection, the school has joined the GLF Schools academy chain which has provided support and rapid improvement in many areas including teaching, children’s achievements, leadership, curriculum, assessment, governance, finance, Early Years and behaviour.

“Senior leaders work together as an effective team. They lead by example and demand the best of staff and pupils.”

Receiving the judgement of GOOD is a tremendous achievement and recognises the work of children, parents, staff, school leaders, governors and the GLF Schools academy chain, in making this happen.

This is nothing less than the community deserves and we would like to thank you all for your support and contribution. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents and carers who spoke with the inspection team and completed the Ofsted parental survey on-line. Your comments were very helpful to the team.

“Parents are overwhelmingly positive about the progress the school has made in the last year. They are now proud of the school.”

As a school, we continually strive to improve and we see this GOOD judgment as an important step in doing this.
