A big hello from the Nursery team, we hope you all had a well rested, lovely summer break!  Throughout this term we will be focssing on settling the children in. Our first topic is “Why do you love me so much?” where the children will be thinking about who they love and how to be good friends to each other. Throughout the week, we will have more children joinging us and we will soon be running out of two rooms. Hogelts- for the two year olds Run by Miss Draper, Mrs Johnson Mrs Carr.  Hedgehogs class teacher will be Miss Saunders and Miss Clapp, the Nursery practitioner. Both classes will be working along side each other and be using some shared areas. We look forward to working with you this year and thank you for your continuted support.

This page will be updated weekly. You will be able to read the latest Nursery Newsletter, see what has been happening in class and any upcoming dates/ events

Our Current topic: "Why do leaves go Cripsy?"

In this topic, we have been on lots of Autumn walks around the school. We have explored pumpkins, made art using natural objects, played shop keepers in our own class shop and learnt about the animals that live in our woodlands. We had a special visit from the RSPB and we went on a big bug hunt with them! WE found all sorts of creepy crawleys! Some had hundreds of legs! As Christmas approaches, we are now moving onto a new topic "Where does snow go?" This topic will take us to the end of the term. We are planning lots of practical, engaging activites such as; a winter walk, melting and freezing objects and maybe even meeting Santa himself!

Our first topic at Nursery was "Why do you love me so much?"

Week 1: We welcomed back some familiar faces to our Nursery, we made beautiful love hearts and began to explore our new classroom and outdoor area.
Week 2: We had some new children join our class, we have been busy making friends!
Week 3: We have been busy making ourselves for our display. We have painted our faces and clothes. Can you find yourself?
Week 4: We read the story "I like, I dont like." We started to think about things we really love. Some ideas where, the seaside, the farm and jelly!
